Peewee A Twisters Golden in Ancaster
Last week in Twister Action three of the North Halton Representative teams traveled to the Ancaster Fall Shoot Out Tournament. Heading into the tournament all three teams knew they had to have their shooters ready for each game, if any games ended in a tie a shoot out would take place at the end of the third period to determine a winner. The Midget A team finished with a 1 and 3 record, picking up their lone win 3-2 in a shootout vs Oshawa. The Peewee BB team finished with a perfect 3-0 round robin record but unfortunately fell 2-0 in the opening game of the playoff round 2-0 to the Ancaster Avalanche. Congratulations to the Peewee A team who took home the championship with a 4-2 win over the Niagara Rapids! The Peewee A team finished the round robin with a win and two shoot out losses but bounced back in the playoffs to pick up a semi-final win vs the Guelph Gryphons on-route the championship. Congratulations to all three teams on a great tournament. Next week the Twisters will send two teams to the Buffalo Inferno Tournament, good luck to both the Midget AA team and Atom B. Staying in Ontario next week will be the Novice A team who look to defend their tournament title in Waterloo!
