HALTON HILLS, ON/ December 22, 2020 – In accordance with the Province of Ontario, and Halton Region the Halton Hills Public Library will move into the Province-wide Lockdown as of 12:01 a.m. on December 26. Here is what’s available at your local library.
HHPL Hours of Operation
The Library is open regular operating hours for Curbside Pickup and Virtual Court Services only.
Borrowing Materials
Patrons can use HHPL’s Curbside Pickup when they place holds for items/materials on the HHPL Website or over the phone. Patrons will receive an email/phone call when hold items are ready and can stop by anytime during regular operating hours to pick their items up. Please remember to bring your Library card with you to claim your items.
Returning Materials
HHPL asks that patrons please return their materials in the drop boxes located on the outside of the Library branches. For larger items that do not fit in the drop boxes, please return them to a staff member at the entrance. Please note that all items will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in and processed. As a result, these items will remain on the patron’s account until the quarantine period is over.
Computer Services and Printing
Computer, printing and scanning services are not allowed at this time.
Home Library Service
This service is available with limited contactless service. We are offering holds pick-up service and accepting returns. For more information, please visit HHPL’s Home Library Service page.
Virtual Court
Virtual Court Services are still available during regular operating hours.
Library From Home
As always, your digital Library is available 24/7. Patrons can choose from millions of ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music and other resources while at home. All you need is your HHPL card.
Library Cards
If residents wish to sign up for a library card, virtual library cards are available on the HHPL Website.
