Annual Road Maintenance Program Continues

HALTON HILLS, ON – Each year, the Town’s Pavement Management and Capital Works Program renews and improves infrastructure across Halton Hills. This spring, the Pavement Management Program will focus on upgrading roads in Georgetown to ensure that roads are safe and in good condition for residents. Also included in this year’s ‘2020 Roads Program’ will be bridge rehabilitation and improvements to select intersections.

“This is business as usual,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette. “Residents in the vicinity of the construction areas can expect some disruption but I would ask for your patience. It’s important that we complete these scheduled road construction projects now to support quality of life for years to come.”

Construction work is coordinated with works performed by Halton Region so as to minimize the impact to residents. Improvements are scheduled for the following streets:

*Halton Region Joint Project supervised/administered by Town and Halton Region staff.

Residents concerns about dust, noise or other construction issues are asked to visit haltonhills.ca/roads for more information. Construction delays by factors such as weather, will be communicated to residents via hand-delivered notices from the Town.

“Fulfillment of our roads and bridges construction program known as Roads 2020 is our commitment to improving and maintaining critical infrastructure that addresses the needs of all users,” said Bill Andrews, Acting Commissioner of Transportation & Public Works.
