Bantam A Twisters GOLDEN In Clearview

On October 25th the Twisters Bantam A team headed to Clearview for the 7th annual Get your Pink on in the Valley tournament. The Twisters faced off in 5 games over three days outscoring their opponents 18-0. Goaltenders Kayla Costintini and Nikki Deschenes combined for 5 shoutouts over the course of 5 games. In the first game of the tournament the Twisters downed the host Clearview Ice Cats with goals coming from 4 players and a combined 8 players picking up at least 1 point. In game two the Twisters were hungry for another win, they came out strong and defeated St.Catherines 7-0. Moving into game three the Twisters knew they still had work to be done as they faced another Ice Cats team picking up a tight 2-0 win. In game fourth Shayne Klimsiak lead the scoring for the Twisters with all 3 goals in the teams 3-0 win on route the championship game. In the goal medal game, the Twisters found themselves facing a familiar foe the Clearview Ice Cats once again. The Twisters provided a full team effort to bring home a gold medal against the host team picking up a close 1-0 victory. Madison Lawson scored the game winner and was named player of the game while Deschenes earned the shutout in goal.
