Start your engines, Bennett Village is gearing for another car show this Sunday September 25. The event will once again take place at the Georgetown Marketplace and will run from 10am to 2pm.
After the fantastic turnout and response to their last car show, Bennett Village has once again decided to host another car show this Sunday.
Acton UP spoke with Alison Curtis, Organizer of the event,
“This show is to bring together the community in a family friendly event that will also help raise funds for Bennett Centre, Halton Hills's only non-profit long-term care centre. We use all of the funds raised to purchase items that will enhance the lives of our residents and allow our staff to provide the best level of care possible.”
Bennett Village is a Retirement and Active Living Centre in Georgetown. They are a charitable non-profit organization which helps seniors in the community to “continue to live and thrive”. Their health care centre was started in 1999 through donations from Stewart and Lettie Bennett. Since then, through donations it has grown to a long term care home and active living centre. It now has 66 spaces and is licensed through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. Donations play a huge role in the expansion and continuation of the centre.
The last show Bennett Village hosted on Fathers Day raised over $5100.
This show Alison expects over 200 classic cars. There will be live music, 50/50 prizes, activities and more.
