Enjoy The Great Outdoors This Summer With Free Conservation Halton Park Passes From HHPL

HALTON HILLS, ON/ May 10, 2021 – Halton Hills Public Library (HHPL) has partnered with Conservation Halton to provide day use passes for Conservation Halton Parks. Through the Conservation Halton Parks Pass It On lending program and HHPL, residents can borrow regional day passes for free. Passes provide complimentary day access for one vehicle and its occupants at any Conservation Halton Park. Use is subject to Conservation Halton’s admissions and reservations policies. Passes can be borrowed for a seven-day period with an HHPL card. Reserve them online at hhpl.on.ca and pick them up at either the Acton or Georgetown branch. Patrons need to book a reservation timeslot with Conservation Halton at parkvisit.ca prior to visiting. The lending program runs until December 31, 2021. Conservation Halton parks are some of the most beautiful and biodiverse areas in the region, featuring forests, meadows, grasslands, cliffs, creeks, lakes, wetlands, and other natural areas. These areas are perfect for adventure-seeking activities like hiking, biking, canoeing, and camping. A Conservation Halton pass is a great way to save money and enjoy these awe-inspiring parks. Passes include: • Unlimited daily vehicle entry to any of the seven regional parks. • Daily park entry for one vehicle plus all its passengers. • The opportunity to visit your favourite park regularly throughout the 2021 season. “The last year has demonstrated the importance of access to nature for our physical and mental health, especially as we continue to live through the ups and downs of the pandemic,” said Craig Machan, Director Parks & Operations, Conservation Halton. “It’s important to us that all members of our community can come out to the parks, so we are very excited to partner with our local libraries, including HHPL, to provide more opportunities for our community to spend time in nature.” ACTON BRANCH 17 River Street Acton, ON L7J 1C2 519-853-0301 | 519-853-3110 (fax) www.hhpl.on.ca askus@haltonhills.ca GEORGETOWN BRANCH 9 Church Street Georgetown, ON L7G 2A3 905-873-2681 | 905-873-6118 (fax) To borrow a Conservation Halton pass, please reserve them online from the Halton Hills Public Library catalogue.
