HALTON HILLS, ON/ February 8, 2021 – This year, Family Day is going virtual and Halton Hills Public Library is inviting residents to celebrate Family Day with them. Due to the Province-wide Lockdown, HHPL is celebrating February 15 online and they are asking the community to join them for a day of family fun for all ages. Here is what you and your family can enjoy for free over the long weekend: Neighbourhood Scavenger Hunt Residents can find the Library’s Scavenger Hunt as part of the Town’s Digital Activity Kit. Plus, it’s available in French and English. Take a walk around your neighbourhood and see what you can find in this fun outdoor activity! French LEGO Challenge Join Leanne on February 15 for an exciting and creative LEGO challenge, by tuning into Facebook at 1 p.m. Grab & Go Kits HHPL has activity kits for children, available with the Contactless Item Pickup service. Things to Play from the Library Families can borrow, videos games, one of many board games or puzzles to play at home, or try one of the NEW Escape Room Kits. Place them on hold through HHPL’s online catalogue. There is also a great selection of digital jigsaw puzzles available through the Library’s website. Things to Learn at the Library Try out one of the new Discover Together Kits, where residents can learn how to program a robot, build something fun or explore a new technology. Place a hold on these kits through the online catalogue. Test your travel knowledge as part of our Family Day Kahoot Trivia.
