HALTON HILLS, ON/ June 18, 2020 – In accordance with the Province’s announcement on June 15 for Halton Region to move into Stage 2 of reopening, the Halton Hills Public Library will reopen on June 23 for residents to pick up holds only. As this point, Curbside Pick Up will cease and residents will be able to enter the branch to pick up their holds Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. HHPL asks that all patrons please keep their visit brief, sanitize their hands upon entry, be mindful of physical distancing rules, and pay attention to all signage and safety measures. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. Note: Access to items on the shelves, seating and computer services are not available at this time. “We are excited about the Stage 2 announcement and the opportunity to welcome the community back into the Library environment to pick up their holds,” says Geoff Cannon, Chief Librarian. “We’ve missed seeing our wonderful patrons as much as they have missed us. This opportunity allows the public to get their hands on some our physical collections quicker and see some of the important health and safety changes we’ve implemented in the Library.” To place holds for pick up please visit the Halton Hills Public Library website.
