HCDSB Mental Health Team is Hosting Weekly Yoga Sessions

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Self-care is an important part of wellness. We know that being physically active has many positive effects on our health. It increases our energy levels, enhances our immune systems, reduces insomnia, stimulates brain growth and has been shown to decrease feelings of sadness. Yoga is one way that children and youth can stay physically active and mentally healthy, and the HCDSB Mental Health Team is pleased to be hosting a series of weekly yoga sessions for students this summer.

For the health and safety of our HCDSB community, all sessions will be offered virtually, and will be available every Thursday on the Board’s YouTube channel, and the HCDSB website. Sessions are pre-recorded and can be accessed at any time.

Separate sessions will be offered for students in Grades 1-5, Grades 6-12 and for students enrolled in the Life Skills program.

No registration is needed to participate.
