HALTON HILLS, ON/ March 31, 2021 – Halton Hills Public Library is once again collaborating with Halton Hills Recreation and Parks to provide Family Recreation Activities.
During the April School Break (Apr. 12-16), families can visit either branch of the Halton Hills Public Library to borrow activities on display, using their library card. Activities include Spikeball, Giant Jenga, Disc Bash, Boom Whackers, Parachute, Giant Kerplunk, Bean Bag Toss, and more. Additionally, there are Active Easy Kits that encourage outdoor play. These kits include a dodgeball, basketball, soccer ball, pylons, skipping rope, badminton set (2 racquets and 2 birdies), scoop ball, Velcro catch, and sidewalk chalk.
Beginning May 3, reserve Family Recreation Activities online throughout the summer, for three weeks, through the Library’s catalogue. Due to the size of some of the activities, you may need to speak to a Library staff member for assistance.
“We are very excited once again to offer residents the opportunity to borrow games and activities for the entire family to enjoy this summer,” says Samantha Howard, Director of Recreation Services. “The program was wonderfully successful last year and we encourage residents to borrow, play and have fun again. It is a great way to de-stress and be active throughout the summer months.
