Newcomer Resources Program launches in Halton Hills

HALTON HILLS, ON/ September 30, 2021 – Hello. Bonjour. Hola. Welcome home. The Town of Halton Hills and the Halton Hills Public Library are pleased to announce the launch of the revitalized Newcomer Resources Program.


As a newcomer to the area, Halton Hills offers a variety of great resources and services, in various languages, to help you settle into your new home. Visit the Halton Hills Public Library to pick up your welcome package and library card to discover the free resources that are available to you and your family.


Whether you’re new to Halton Hills or new to Canada, this vibrant community offers you a place to live, connect, thrive, meet, work and discover endless possibilities.


If you’re out and about in the community, stop by the Gellert Community Centre, Mold-Masters Sportsplex, Acton Arena and Community Centre, or the Town Hall and pick up a Welcome to Halton Hills flyer. Present your flyer to the Acton or Georgetown Branch of the Library for your welcome package. It’s easy and convenient for all newcomers.


Halton Hills is a diverse community with many opportunities for anyone of any age and background. Newcomers play a crucial role in every part of our community and in Canada. Your local library provides safe spaces for your family to connect, read, create, learn, engage and play. Stop by and experience what these branches can offer. You’ll be amazed and excited!
