[Halton Hills, April 18, 2023] As part of National Volunteer Week (April 16-22), Norval resident Mary Robinson was recognized at a celebration held on April 17, 2023, with the Halton Cheers to Volunteers Award. The award is in acknowledgment of her exceptional volunteer service with Links2Care since 2011.
Throughout her time with Links2Care, Robinson has displayed consistent reliability, professionalism, and a friendly demeanour. She has been involved in various programs, providing her time, organizational expertise, and energy to support their smooth operation. Programs she has assisted with include Healthy Snack for Youth, Backpack Program, Holiday Giving for Community Support, Congregate Dining, and Intergenerational Pen Pal Programs for Seniors.
In addition to her work with these programs, Robinson has also stepped in to cover the reception area when needed, allowing staff members to take breaks. Her contributions have been essential in maintaining the quality of the programs and the overall success of the organization.
