Twister Day ‘Pink in the Rink’ Huge Success
On Sunday December 15th the North Halton Twister had their annual Twister Day event in support for CASHH (Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills). During the day 28 games and 4 sessions of FUNDamentals/tyke were played in Acton showcasing each one of the Twisters teams of all levels. The Twisters raised money for CASHH along with collecting many donations for other organizations such as the Womens Shelters in Milton, Acton, and Georgetown, Links 2 Care, the salvation army, toy drives and more. The day feature teams from across Southern Ontario and saw the Twisters representative teams have a combined record of 7-4-2. The Twisters would like to thank the countless volunteers who helped run the bake sale table, chuck-a-puck, and more throughout the day.
The Bantam A team would also like to recognize Shayne Klimsiak who won the hockey camp scholarship while in Lake Placid. Klimsiak wrote an essay and was awarded a free entry to any CAN/AM hockey camp North America. Brooke Macaulay also won the shoutout competition, and goaltender Kayla Costintini was the runner up for top goaltender.
