Twisters Look Strong to Open 2019 As the Twisters hit the ice for their first full week of hockey in 2019 all teams were flying. In Peewee news, the B team was on a hot streak in the Orillia Girls Hockey Tournament, going 2-1-1 in round robin play heading into the championship game on Sunday afternoon. As the Peewee B team hit the ice on Sunday they went out flying, beating the Peterborough Ice Kats 2-1 to claim Gold in their first tournament action of 2019! The Peewee BB team also saw tournament action in Sarnia where they picked up a win and 2 ties on route the semi-final match. Unfortunately, for the BB team they fell short of the championship game dropping their semi final match 2-0 to the Bluewater Hawks. The Midget B team was also in Sarnia over the weekend where they dropped all four of their matches in the Silverstick tournament. Next week the Twisters will be sending the Atom B and Atom BB teams to the Cambridge Roadrunners 25th annual New Years Challenge Cup taking place from January 18th to 20th.
