Twisters Recognize Frontline Workers

The past few weeks have been trying times for Canada with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we see many frontline workers who are putting their lives on the line to help those in need. The Twisters would like to thank all workers for their dedication in making sure Canadians are kept safe during these trying times.

Over the next few weeks the Twisters will be recognizing and thanking frontline parents, coaches, and volunteers who are serving their communities during these trying times. You can head over to the Twisters Instagram (@nhtwisters), Twitter (@nhgha), Facebook page, and website to find out more about the frontline workers they would like to recognize and thank for keeping their communities safe. This week the North Halton Girls Hockey Association would like to thank the following frontline workers;

Sandy Holloway. Sandy is a paramedic and volunteered her time as a trainer for the Atom B team this past season which her daughter plays for.

Matt Boycott. Matt is a police officer and volunteered as an assistant coach with the Atom AA team this past season. Matt has 2 daughters that play for the Twisters, Eden (Atom AA) and Mielle (Atom A).

Letitia McDougall. Letitia is a nurse and has a daughter on the Atom B team.

Heather and Greg Petrie. Heather is a nurse and Greg is a firefighter. Their daughter Quinn played on the Atom A team this past season.

Emily Hay. Emily is paramedic and was also a trainer for the Atom B team this past season where her daughter Meghan was on the team.

Thank you Sandy, Matt, Letitia, Heather, Greg, and Emily for you hard work and dedication to your jobs during this trying time!
