Burlington Man Charged With Sexual Assault of Youth

A 53-year-old Burlington male has been arrested for sexually assaulting a youth.


The 15-year-old male victim had met the accused on an online dating site and met the accused at a location in Burlington in the evening of March 13, 2021. The accused then led the victim to his residence. The accused was aware of the victim’s age prior to arranging the meet. Once at the residence, the accused sexually assaulted the victim.


The victim notified police and an investigation ensued. On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, the Halton Regional Police Service – Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a Burlington residence in relation to the investigation.

Peter Eerhard (53) of Burlington has been charged with:

  • Luring a Child

  • Invitation to Sexual Touching

  • Sexual Assault

  • Sexual Interference

  • Eerhard has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
