Halton Police responded to an early morning break-in at the Petro-Canada at 395 Queen St., on Thursday Jan. 7. Attending officers arrived at 4:56 am and discovered the front door glass had been smashed to gain entry. A quantity of cigarettes, worth approximately $8,000, had been removed from the premises along with some cash from the register. Video imagery reportedly shows two individuals filling up plastic garbage bags with cigarettes before fleeing the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
