Halton Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in the northeast corner of Halton Hills earlier this evening.
Shortly before 5:30 pm the two vehicles collided on 32 Side Road at 10th Line in the Tri-County area connecting Halton, Peel and Wellington. HRPS took the lead in the investigation with the assistance of the OPP.
At 33 year old Wellington County man was trapped in one of the involved vehicles, which had flipped onto its roof. Halton Hills Fire extricated the male and he was airlifted from the scene by AIR ORNGE to Sunnybrook Regional Trauma Centre in Toronto. His injuries at this time are serious but not considered life-threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle appeared to be unhurt.
Alcohol is not deemed to be a contributing factor. The Collision Reconstruction Unit of HRPS took carriage of the investigation. There will be no comment made on any potential charges at this time.
