Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision in Halton Hills

On Tuesday May 4, 2021 at approximately 1730hrs, Halton Regional Police responded to a collision on 5 Sideroad, west of Trafalgar Road, in the Town of Halton Hills. Initial reports from the scene were that a single vehicle had left the roadway and rolled over. Injuries were reported to the occupants of the vehicle.

Emergency services personnel responded to the scene and found a vehicle on its roof, in the ditch, on the north side 5 Sideroad. Two occupants from the vehicle were located at the scene. The driver, an 18 year old female from the City of Brampton sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for precautionary treatment. Sadly, the front seat passenger, a 42 year old male from the City of Toronto was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Due to the severity of the collision, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Preliminary information suggested that the vehicle, a grey Chevrolet Mailbu, was travelling westbound on 5 Sideroad when it left the roadway, struck a tree and rolled over into the ditch. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
