Homicide Unit Investigating Death in Oakville On August 25, 2019 at 8:11 pm the Halton Regional Police Service received a 911 call from a residence on Marine Drive in Oakville. Police were advised of an altercation between two males at the residence. On arrival, a 74-year-old male was located with obvious trauma and has been pronounced dead. A 40-year-old male was arrested at the scene. Police are not searching for any additional suspects. The deceased and the male in custody were known to one another. The Homicide Unit is investigating this occurrence. The accused will make a court appearance in Milton on Monday August 26, 2019.
