On June 4, 2022, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) began an investigation into the sudden death of a young child that occurred inside an Oakville residence. The two-year-old was found deceased in a bathtub due to an apparent drowning.
The HRPS Homicide Unit conducted an extensive investigation and as a result have laid charges against the mother of the child.
Nancy Fahmi (42 years) of Oakville has been charged with the following:
Manslaughter
Criminal Negligence Causing Death
Fahmi is next scheduled to appear in Milton Court on the 23rd of March 2023.
