Male Arrested and Charged with Sexual Assault in Burlington



The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested and charged a man after a sexual assault at the Appleby GO Station in Burlington.


On August 22, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm a female youth was seated in the waiting area of the train station when she was approached by an unknown adult male who put his hands on her multiple times. 


The female was able to get away from the suspect and police were contacted.

Later that evening, officers located and arrested the male at the Burlington GO Station on Fairview Street in Burlington.


67-year-old, Donald Rogers of NFA has been charged with one count of sexual assault.

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated.  A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.

There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault.  This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
