On February 10th 2021 The Halton Regional Police Service – 1 District Street Crime Unit concluded a drug trafficking investigation which resulted in two arrests and various criminal charges.
At approximately 7:00pm members of the Tactical Rescue Unit arrested two parties in the area of Main Street East and Drew Centre, Milton.
Halton Regional Police Service later executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the area of Main Street East and James Snow Parkway.
As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:
Approximately 10 grams of cocaine
A loaded prohibited firearm
A quantity of Canadian currency
Other indicia of drug trafficking
The total value of the drugs seized is approximately $1000
Tahjai Hannay (22) of Milton was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Fail to Comply with Probation
An additional young person was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Fail to comply with Youth Probation, Careless Transport of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Unauthorized Possession in a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition.
