Oakville Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearm Seizure On December 4, 2019, at approximately 10:30 am, uniform officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Sherwood Heights Drive in Oakville. Investigation as a result of the traffic stop led to the seizure of a loaded .22 calibre handgun and a variety of drugs which included fentanyl, methamphetamine, oxycodone tablets, powdered and crack cocaine along with more than $4,400 in Canadian currency. Garnett Grant (18) of North York has been charged with: -Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Crack Cocaine -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Fentanyl -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Meth -Possession of a controlled substance - Oxycodone pills Garret Grant (21) of Toronto has been charged with: -Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Crack Cocaine -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Fentanyl -Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Meth -Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone pills -Possession of a controlled substance - Oxycodone pills -Possession of a restricted firearm -Occupant of motor vehicle knowing that there is a firearm -Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon -Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm -Unauthorized possession of weapon -Carry a concealed weapon -Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose -Breach of firearms regulation -Careless use of a firearm -Possession of a firearm knowing that its serial number has been defaced Both accused have been held pending a bail hearing on December 5, 2019 in Milton.
