Superintendent Kevin Maher of HRPS spoke about the continuing investigation during a media briefing at Halton Police Headquarters on September 17. According to Maher, the 16-year-old student and his alleged abductors had no connection to the Town of Milton other than the fact that his body was found there.
“Ezekiel was a Grade 10 student at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Brampton, who enjoyed playing basketball and aspired to be an engineer,” added Mahar. “Ezekiel, was an innocent teenager who was intentionally targeted by a group of male adults who were known to him. Ezekiel was targeted due to an on-going dispute between the group of males and another adult male who had befriended Ezekiel. Investigation has shown that Ezekiel was abducted by the four males in Brampton during the day, on June 29 and kept against his will until his death.”
