Project Rural Impact leads to over 500 speeding charges in April During the month of April Officers from Milton and Halton Hills focused their efforts on countering speeding motorists within the rural communities of both Towns. A total of 497 speeding charges were laid and in addition to these, 29 drivers had their licences suspended and vehicles seized for 7 days under the provinces "Stunt" driving legislation. Sgt. Rudall of the 1 District Response Team said, "Rural speed enforcement will continue to take place throughout the year and I'd like to encourage people to report their concerns to us. We recognize aggressive driving is a concern for residents are we will remain focused on charging those drivers who break the speed limit."
