Sexual Assault Charge Laid on Police Officer

Sexual Assault Charge Laid The Halton Regional Police Service CASA Unit has made an arrest in relation to a sexual assault investigation. On June 1st, 2020, a 53 year old male resident of Halton was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Assault. The accused in this case is an officer with the Toronto Police Service. He was off-duty at the time of the incident and the victim was known to him. We do not believe there are other victims. We will not be releasing the name of the accused as it has a high likelihood of identifying the victim. Every person has the right to feel safe in our community. You are not alone.
