An Acton motorcyclist was tragically killed Friday June 2 after a collision with a motor vehicle at a rural intersection southwest of Acton. 53-year-old Jeff Robson was travelling along Sideroad 25 around 2:30 pm when he came into contact with a Cadillac sedan heading southbound on Nassagaweya Esquesing Townline.
Robson was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the sedan was treated in hospital with minor injuries. The intersection is controlled by a stop sign at the Townline, but the event remains under investigation.
Jeff Robson leaves behind his spouse Denny, and two sons Logan and Dylan, aged 21 and 18 respectively. Robson worked as a security supervisor at a TJX Winners warehouse in Brampton. He was also an avid motorcyclist and member of the Redrum Motorcycle Club, Spirit Island Chapter.
“He joined the club because of their values--spreading positivity on 2 wheels. He wanted the brotherhood and loved riding,” according to his wife Denny Robson.
“My husband was an amazing man. He loved us, loved his family, loved animals of all kinds. He stood behind me when I started my [cat] rescue. He wanted to help me make my dream come true. He was that type of man.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Dairy Drive family by Denny's good friend Dianne Kirouac. “She wanted to help me and this is her way of trying to do something,” added Denny. “I still can't believe he's gone.”
