We mourn this tragic loss alongside you, and with you. Together with Peel Regional Police, we commit to applying all available resources to investigate this tragic crime. Gun violence continues to take far too great a toll on our communities throughout the GTA and beyond. It is imperative that we within policing identify and bring to justice those who choose the lifestyle of gun violence. The Halton Regional Police Service pledges to ensure that those responsible for this senseless murder are identified and brought to justice. Only then can our communities begin to heal, and our citizens feel the security they deserve," said Halton Regional Police Service Chief Stephen Tanner. "On behalf of Peel Regional Police, I'd like to extend sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the victim. It was a senseless act of violence which stole a 16 year old from his family and our community. This tragic incident represents an unfortunate reality of violence which is entirely too common across the GTA. As Chief of PRP, I refuse to accept this reality locally or outside of our jurisdiction. In keeping with that commitment, I have allocated additional resources to assist the HRPS in this investigation. While this is a Halton Police investigation, the victim was a member of our community here in Peel Region. I urge anyone with any information on this tragic incident to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers. We are stronger as a community and together we will pursue those responsible for his death," said Peel Regional Police Chief, Nishan Duraiappah. ***UPDATE*** Deceased Male Located in Milton The Halton Regional Police Service continues to investigate the discovery of a deceased male in the area of Guelph Line and No. 10 Side Road in Milton.
